The KMILT's mission is to promote and develop processes for research, production and dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge in the area of Information Technology, seeking to transfer knowledge and innovation that fosters the potential development of this field.
KMILT seeks to promote and develop research and development projects, and also educational projects in the fields of Computing Technologies, particularly in the areas of Systems and Information Technology, Knowledge Management, Learning Technologies, Multimedia, Content Management, and e-Learning.
The KMILT focuses on the development of interdisciplinary research projects in computing areas, basic or applied, seeking research partners to integrate project networks. This project networks could constitute themselves in:
- Joint projects with other scientific areas or courses at ESEIG, seeking to develop applied research;
- Collaborate with partnerships from other research centers;
- Collaborate in consortia of European Projects.
KMILT focuses on the following areas of research, despite being open to collaborate on projects in different lines of research, related to the scientific field of computing:
