The Office of Continuing Education (OCE) is responsible for designing and developing the School's non-tertiary education programmes and its mission is to provide good quality training, either face-to-face or via e-learning, to those residing in the Cávado and Ave region.
OCE designs Technological Specialisation Courses, In-service Teacher Training Courses, Specialised Training Courses in the technical and scientific areas taught at ESEIG, which are chosen after carrying out surveys on the region's training needs and analysing the most sought after professional areas. It develops and organises training sessions tailored to the needs of the region's business fabric.
This intervention targets the development of occupational skills. The training projects aim at meeting the specific needs of external parties, so as to unequivocally contribute to the development of their organisational functions.
Apart from traditional classroom training, OCE provides, through e-learning, access to training contents (based on module training) which have been adapted to the trainees' characteristics, allowing for individual and different learning rhythms and timing.
